The Philosopher's Stone

Just another day of darkness.
Crimes committed.
Prayers interrupted.
An old man dies of hunger.
Just another day, when the alchemist failed.

The brothers were fighting.
For money.
The mother wished to die.
The drunken father puked all over.
Was the alchemist sleeping?

Yes, it is a green world.
Green with envy.
Can the mosses ever turn to gold?
The alchemist can’t be wrong,
Where is The Philosopher's Stone?

The blind man got a boy's shoulder.
The beggar got a warm shelter.
The treacherous friend was forgiven.
The sad man got a hug.
The alchemist keeps trying.

Amidst vivid darkness,
Penetrating layers of mosses,
Did we just see a golden spark?
In a golden smile and a golden heart,
Swearing by the sun's golden rays,
Isn’t that a shining Philosopher's Stone?

The Alchemist was always successful
